The end of the year is a good time to run some numbers on the website. Using Google Analytics, I’ve tallied a few of the total stats for the past few years as well as identified the top posts of the year.
Overall Stats
Over the past four years there has been some solid growth in page views, users, and even average time on a page. Here’s how they compare.

The theme over the years with top posts has always boiled down to antennas. That continued in 2021 with a definite emphasis on six meters. Click on the link to see an article.

The number one post on six meter antennas was published in June 2020 and quickly exceeded the audience of the previous number one, Six Meter Dipole. Then everything was swamped by the six meter eBook stampede in December 2020, which continued into January 2021 and calmed down after that. So this is probably a fairly good look at the popular topics on the website.
Visitor Demographics
It’s no secret that the average age of ham radio operators is well above 50. Yet the hobby continues to grow, attracting young and old. See my article All Ages in Ham Radio to get my full take on the life cycle of the ham radio hobby.
Given that background, it’s interesting to see what Google Analytics has to say about the demographics of this website.
Certainly no surprises with 90% of visitors male and about 60% of users over the age of 55.
Hope that’s provided just a bit of insight. It does provide a nice record of the growth of this website and that’s helpful as we enter 2022.
