Website Traffic 2023 — Top 10 Blog Posts

It’s time for my annual review of website traffic. You can find the previous annual reports on this website. Overall, the traffic has been relatively consistent, with a few changes in the top ten posts and some use of the meteor scatter posts before a few showers.

Top 10 Blog Posts

I’ve added a column noting the lifetime page views. Some of these have been popular for quite some time, primarily those covering six-meter antennas.

Meteor Scatter Resource

I’m delighted that the post, Meteor Scatter Propagation: How it Works & Getting on the Air, has generated considerable interest. I tumbled to this with a casual glimpse at website traffic on Google Analytics. Here’s the image.

It shows the page views for the top five articles on the website, with the meteor scatter article jumping significantly above the rest right before three meteor showers: Eta Aquarids in April, Perseids in August, and Geminids in December.

6 Meter Book Downloads

My short eBook, Capture the Magic of Six Meters, achieved over 8,000 PDF downloads from its introduction in August 2020 and an update in July 2022. I published an extensively updated version titled Magic Band Revealed in November 2023. It’s available on Amazon in full-color paperback or via free download here. So far, almost 200 downloads and a few sold on Amazon.

Domain Authority and Visibility

I use MOZ’s free domain authority checker to understand how the website is doing. The domain authority remains at 25, but the site and several pages, mostly about six meters, have an authority rating of 32 and 31. The top-ranking keywords also have to do with six-meter antennas or meteor scatter.

That’s how things look here for 2023. It’s helped me gain a few new insights that I’ll be working on to enhance the website’s reach. All the best in 2024.
