I received four QSL cards from the QSL Bureau yesterday. In the distant past that number used to be much higher. But a few years ago I stopped HF contesting and my QSO totals for DXCC dropped considerably.
This delivery saw a card from CU3EQ for a satellite QSO from 2016 — one that I was particularly delighted to make. The card from KH6OO was for a twenty meter JT9 QSO in 2016. The QSL from HK3W is from a RTTY contest also in 2016. The oldest was from 6Y5/UN7LZ for a forty meter CW contact during a contest in 2013 — five years old!
The other amazing thing about all these cards is that the confirmations have already been recorded in Logbook of the World.
I’m not sure there’s much of a future for the QSL bureau. Just saying…
Last time I got QSL cards from Buro was about 3 years ago. I like LOTW much better. George N3GS
