Mark your calendar and buy your ticket for the QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo March 12th and 13th, 2022. It’s a great way to keep up to date on amateur radio developments as well as scope out new aspects of the hobby. They also have quite a few ways to interact with speakers, attendees, and exhibitors.
This is the fourth time they’ve held the expo with 6,000 to 15,000 attending previous expos. During that time they found out what works and what doesn’t work. So this one should be nearly problem-free.
Attend My Presentation
There are over 60 speakers at the Expo and they’ve even included me! I’ll be talking about Six Meters and how you can capture the Magic of the band. I don’t claim to be an expert. But I do have a fair bit of experience with 60+ DXCC countries and 600+ grids collected on the band. Not only that, but I do read a great deal and collect information that can be shared with others.
You may have seen my short eBook, Capture the MAGIC of Six Meters, or read the same material on a webpage with links to more information at Guide to Six Meter DXing. During the Expo I bring all this to life in a 30-minute presentation and then take questions. Geez, I may even have some answers to share.
With over 60 presentations going on over two days there’s a good chance you might run into a few conflicts on what to attend. Not to worry, all presentations will be available for 30 days after the expo.
Get on Six Meters
As noted above, I’m not really an expert on six meters but I do have some experience. My goal is to get more people on six meters, mostly those in rare grids that I still need to add to my logbook. But wherever you’re located, tune into my presentation and then get on the air with whatever equipment and antenna you’ve got. You won’t regret it and will no doubt have a blast.

The Expo is still open so that you can go back and catch those presentations you missed. The incredible news this morning is that my presentation was #3 in terms of attendance. Woo Hoo. Now if only some of those folks will get on the air on 6 meters from some new grids! Here’s the snapshot of the email announcement from The QSO Today Virtual Ham Expo.
