I’ll be roving in this weekend’s CQ WW VHF Contest. it’s the same route that I followed in the ARRL June VHF Contest.
You may recall that I got a bit burnt out on Sunday during the June Contest. That was when the temps were in the mid-90s. This weekend they are expected to be 105 degrees. I’ll need to hydrate and take some rests along the way.
Saturday will follow this route, map below:
- EM11vx — 1 PM CDT start
- EM12va — 3 PM CDT start
- EM21ax — 5 PM CDT start
- EM22ag — 7 PM CDT start
Sunday will follow this route, map at the bottom of the page:
- EM13ae — 6 AM CDT start
- EM03xe — 8 AM CDT start
- EM02xt — Noon CDT start
I’ll be running with 100 watts on 6 and 2 meters using SSB, FT8, and MSK144. CW will also be available. Antennas will be on a 25 foot mast with 6 meter stressed moxon and 2 meter 6-element yagi.
Hope to work you during the contest.
