I’ve been asked to give a presentation to the North East Tarrant Amateur Radio Club this week. The topic is amateur radio satellites. Now that is a broad topic.
I’ve tried to narrow it down by focusing primarily on how to get on the satellites. I begin with why you should consider satellite operation, why it’s fun, and then into more detail about what they are and how to work them. I’ve got 30 minutes.
While I don’t have an on-the-air demonstration set up, I will be showing them one of John Brier’s operating videos from SpaceComms. That ought to get them wound up.
