I worked the ARRL 222 MHz and Up Distance Contest this weekend. Managed to get 13 QSOs in the log, all on 432 MHz. I tried a couple of 1296 MHz contacts but could not complete them. I was able to hear K5AND and W5LUA, but my puny 10 watts could not be heard on their end.
All in all, the contest went well. Wish there had been quite a few more stations on the air. I pretty much worked everyone I heard with one exception of a rover that I could barely hear.
I look forward to hearing how everyone else did. We’ll see how things go next year.
